getting ready!

June 11, 2003

I had a dream last night (or this morning, really) in which Christmas had come and I hadn’t made any preparations except for making up some flapjack mix which had oats and seeds and brown sugar in it. While the rest of the dream was quite meaningful to me, the fact that I dreamed that christmas had come and I wasn’t ready really reflects my life at the moment. On monday our holidays start, my parents arrive, and we will be hosting and travelling for the next month. YAY! it’s just like christmas. I want everything to be perfect…

last weekend we went out to west cork for the first time in weeks and weeks. It has exploded with life during that time – there are now wildflowers everywhere, along the roads, in the ditches, all over the fields. And the trees are full of leaves – creating leafy tunnels to drive through. The weather was beautiful – sunny with fluffy clouds. I’ve got all my fingers and toes crossed hoping it holds out for the next couple of weeks.

Life’s been pretty good the past while – I’ve come to an understanding with my job and I can see the path I want to take from here on. I can see things coming to completion, and other things developing. Summer makes it easier to grow. Just go towards the light…
