Dreaming, nothing more than dreaming…

October 16, 2003

Last night I dreamed that I was working in the fanciest vegetarian restaurant in cork with our friends who own the garden centre. they were running the restuarant, and I was helping them cook and running around getting stuff and talking to people. there was an expedition that needed to be done as part of a competition – a group of 4 people who acted as a team, working towards a common goal. I have only hazy memories of the competition itself. I think Ariel from www.electrolicious.com was on our team, and her boyfriend Andreas (and no, I haven’t actually met either of them). We had to repaint a house, and remove the paint from a smurf figurine so that it wouldn’t spread. (?) I didn’t do it right the first time, and the paint got onto my knee and kept spreading around the place. Ariel hinted to the correct way of removing the paint, I got the picture and everything was fine.

The night before that I dreamed of this fantastic futuristic building that I have dreamed of before. It’s like a combined airport, hotel, and vacatation destination (disneyland?). It’s made of black glass, and it has 4 “wings” of the building which stick out horizontally, one stacked above the other, and people can go in there and watch the planes take off from the other side of the building. The planes were amazing – very smooth and shiny, and intensely coloured. They hooked onto launchers like matchbox hotrod cars, and would be catapulted at light speed into space when the launcher was deployed. I can’t remember who I was with there, I think I was alone, and there was something I had to take care of before I could get on one of those planes.
