It’s a sweltering July day – what to do?  Go to the beach with everyone else, of course!

While we were there the coastguard hovercraft zoomed into the bay and up onto the beach.  It was huge, noisy and fast, and attracted an enormous crowd.  I would have taken pictures except my hands were, of course, holding Claire.

We overpacked and only stayed a couple of hours, but it was totally worth the sweaty drive across town and hauling all our stuff down those rocks.

Claire enjoyed herself too, and I have the photo evidence to prove it.  Doesn’t she look charming in her striped sun suit?  Thanks Jo-Ann. 

The next hurdle is to go camping this summer, but judging by the amount of stuff we deemed necessary to go to the beach I wonder whether our car will be big enough.
