We just got back on Sunday from a week on Vancouver Island. Five days in Victoria, a night camping at French Beach, a night camping at Goldstream Park and a night camping at Ruckle Park on Salt Spring Island. It was fabulous, sunny and summery the whole time we were there, and Victoria is a much easier city to navigate with a toddler than Ottawa was. In fact, I loved Victoria so much that I could really see myself living there. It's cute, and a much more manageable size than super-mega-city Vancouver.

I'm very slowly getting pictures up on Flickr. We're trying out Ubuntu, and I was kind of ambivalent about it until I discovered all the features of their photo software F-spot. It's fantastic, and includes an "export to Flickr" option that we just discovered last night. So hopefully updates will be more frequent now that I have the process figured out.

After changing the operating system on our laptop four (five? three? I've lost count) times, I'm finally set up to sort and upload photos again. New on flickr are some shots from the Commercial Drive Car Free Day a couple weeks ago.

We're planning a trip to Ireland soon, keeping our fingers crossed for better weather here in Vancouver, and generally keepin' on. Not much new or unusual happening here, doesn't feel like much to write about either. A blessing or a curse? Whatever, I'm going to go with it.

One noteworthy recent event: Our 6 year wedding anniversary was on Saturday. Yay us! Eight years together all told.
